  • 1:1 Coaching

A coaching relationship can foster deep trust and partnership and support you in self-reflection and growth.

I create the space for you to work through your questions, create clarity, and get into action towards your personal and professional development.

Together, we’ll work through fears, limiting beliefs, and roadblocks that are hindering you, and we’ll focus on shifting your energy toward cultivating the life that you desire.

With the core belief that personal change is a pivotal part of social change, our coaching partnership can support you in cultivating the seismic shifts you want to see in the world. As we work together, we won’t shy away from how systemic oppression and structural inequality affect you.

Through the use of specialized Core Energy Coaching, we will dig deep to understand the root cause of what you’re experiencing, and from there, work to address your thoughts, actions, and behaviors to move forward.

  • Energy Leadership Index Assessment

The Energy Leadership Index Assessment measures two main elements:

1 - Your Energetic profile, which is your usual energy on a good day

2 - Your Energetic Stress Reaction, which is your reaction to a stressor

These indicate your current potential to motivate and inspire both yourself and others, help you understand how you engage in life, and deepen your awareness of who you are and what life means to you. With the understanding you’ll gain from the ELI and our debrief,

    Your consciousness starts to grow

    Your judgments start to dwindle

    Your stress begins to decrease

With this new understanding, you can identify your thoughts, actions, and behaviors more readily and shift the way you approach life to raise your satisfaction and fulfillment and support you in reaching your goals. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. By taking the assessment, you can begin to understand how to make your energy work for you!

This offering is available as a one-off debrief, an add-on to any coaching package, and in a 360 version for teams. The ELI gives a boost to any coaching and personal development journey.

In the words of clients

  • Before working with Emily, I felt like I was going through the motions but not taking time to think about my future, and where I really want to be headed. Coaching with Emily allowed me to identify core values, uncover new areas I’m passionate about, and work through past transitions to overcome the impacts those have had on my career. One of the most impactful things I did with Emily was the Energy Leadership Index (ELI), which I found to be so insightful! It was such a good assessment to kick off our coaching sessions and allowed us to tailor my sessions to address some of the results from it. Emily has validated my thoughts and feelings, which is such an empowering feeling. Her ability to listen and organize what I’m describing and feeling helped me find so much clarity and it’s led to so many aha moments.

    - Morgan, Assistant Director, Nonprofit

  • One thing I really appreciate is that even after several months of not being in the coaching sessions, I am still employing the skills I learned with Emily. I always left our sessions strengthened and excited about the next steps in the journey. Emily’s calming presence and great questions helped me to see that what I needed was already inside of me, I just needed to trust myself.

    -Scott H., Small Business Owner

  • Emily has a very thoughtful intake and discovery process. As I started down that path, I realized that it wasn’t an external plan that I needed to make, but rather a set of changes and way of looking at things inside myself that would achieve my goal. This internal change helped me sleep better, be more content and effective at my job and have more energy. By changing my focus internally, I started to enjoy all the achievements I had realized and to savor every moment. I’m now more carefully thinking about a long-term change that isn‘t rushed or as risky. Emily’s excellent listening, prompts, observations and partnership enabled me to create a better vision for myself - one I still refer back to as a guidepost each day.

FAQs about Coaching

  • Coaching is a partnership between a coach and a client who work together to clarify goals, identify obstacles to achieving those goals, and develop strategies to overcome what’s holding the client back. These goals can be tangible, such as determining the next steps in a career, or less tangible, such as building courage and confidence and breaking out of old patterns.

  • As a client, you can expect empathy, support, and celebration from me as your coach. You can also expect me to hold you accountable, challenge you when needed, and continuously ask questions to seek the answers that lie within you.

  • At the beginning of the partnership, you choose between 1-3 goals or changes you want to work on in the partnership. Coaching consists of a series of 1:1 calls between a client and a coach. The client and coach establish modes of communication, style preferences, and boundaries to ensure a powerful partnership. At the end of each session, we develop your next steps. One of the largest benefits of working with a coach is specific action steps in combination with accountability. Between sessions, you can check in with your coach on the action steps you've agreed to take including progress you've made and blocks you're facing.

  • That’s okay! You may know you want a change but don’t know exactly what that looks like, and part of our work can be focused on defining that together.

  • People work with coaches on all aspects of life! Some things I support people frequently with include: major life transitions, recovering from burnout, designing your life on your terms, identifying and living your values, relationship dynamics, setting boundaries, and strengthening confidence. Each of these have fallen within the realm of work and personal life.

  • Other support structures include consulting – which is intended to advise or provide expertise – and therapy – which is intended to explore past experiences, including trauma. These supports can be complementary to coaching or engaged before or after a coaching relationship.
